In the last six months, so many things in our world have changed. The one thing that hasn’t changed is that people still want to connect and have fun.
Well, the good news is that Paint Monkey hasn’t skipped a beat and is offering virtual classes. We can organize a Zoom call or jump onto one that you put together. We can help guide you through an event from start to finish.
We do corporate events, fundraisers and even private events you want to have in your home. We need a minimum of 12 participants and have done up to 50.
Call and we can give you a quote for your event.
Here’s how it works:
- Decide what painting you’ll be doing with your group and a date.
- We will put together paint kits for each participant which will include a pre-sketched canvas, paints, brushes, a plate pallet, paper towels and a helpful hint sheet.
- How you get the kits to your participants is up to you. They can be picked up at our Waterfront studio or we can ship out for an additional cost.
- Paint Monkey will guide you through a virtual class, step by step on a Zoom call.
We’ve done some really fun events for PNC Wealth Management, Pitt Arts, Pitt Program Council, Duquesne University, Chatham University, Friendship Circle, Angel’s Place to name a few.
A virtual class usually takes anywhere from 90 minutes to 2 hours.

***Here are a few testimonials about our virtual events
Our nonprofit organization was looking for a virtual fundraiser to hold for our donors and supporters over the summer. We reached out to Paint Monkey to see what type of paint night events they were holding for virtual participants. From the moment I spoke with Mary Lou, I knew they were going to be a great fit for our vision of holding a virtual paint night! Mary Lou worked closely with us as we prepped and planned all the details of our evening event. Joe and Mary Lou prepared all the paint kits for our participants, helped distribute them to those who picked-up at their store, and gave two hours of instruction to our painters over Zoom. We never could have pulled off such a fun event without their expertise and help. As a local business they truly care about the Pittsburgh community and all those within it. We are grateful for their support!

Angel’s Place – FundraiserI was looking for a way to engage and entertain my clients in an interactive fashion through a virtual setting, and I found the perfect partner in Paint Monkey! Mary Lou and Joe were absolutely fantastic to work with, as they created and facilitated an evening that my guests won’t soon forget. All I had to do was provide them with my guests’ addresses, and they shipped out all of the supplies needed for everyone to create their own “masterpiece.” It was a joy to see my clients and their children sitting around their dining room table all painting together, and another client weeks later relayed proudly to me that his painting was now hanging in his daughter’s apartment. During this stressful time, I am very thankful for the experience Paint Monkey was able to provide to my clients through their virtual paint class, and I highly recommend engaging Mary Lou and Joe if you are looking for a fun and engrossing yet relaxing experience

PNC Wealth ManagementMary Lou and Joe were absolutely amazing to work with from start to finish! We hosted an event at Duquesne University for 50 students and there was not a single person who didn’t have a blast. Everyone was buzzing with excitement before the event and couldn’t have praised it more after it finished. Mary Lou was an absolute pleasure to work with for setting up the event. She was so flexible and willing to work with us to make our event fun, safe, and accessible during COVID. We were able to have a socially-distanced event in person with the students while zooming with Joe as he painted. The event was seamless due to Mary Lou and Joe’s constant cooperation and enthusiasm. Joe was amazing at walking us through our painting step by step and did a fantastic job of bridging the technological gap and made us all feel like we were in the studio with him. He was encouraging and engaging through the entire process. I can’t wait to work with Mary Lou and Joe at Paint Monkey again in the future for more amazing events. ”
