Q: What are your current business hours?

As of March 2022 they are Tuesday - Friday 12-5pm, Saturday 12-7 and Sundays 11am - 4pm. We’re closed on Mondays.

Q: Can I get a paint kit "to go?" What's included in the kit?

Yes! Our paint kits come in two sizes. Small, which is a 12″ x 12″ canvas. A large kit comes on a 16″ x 20″ canvas. Cost for small kit $25+tax. Cost for a large kit is $35+tax. and have seasonal small kits where the prices vary. All paint kits come with a pre-sketched canvas, paints, brushes, a plate for your pallet and some paper towels. You can find the selections on the website under the tab “Shop Paint Kits.” Click on the links to see what our current menu is for each size. There's a drop down menu with many selections for each size. We do take requests if you’d like a kit that isn’t on our current menu. This is a custom kit. Let us know which painting you’d like to do from our catalog and we’ll make it into a take home kit for you. The cost for this service is $40+tax.

Q: How does your open studio work?

We have our open studio Tuesday through Sunday. Tuesday through Friday we are open from 12-5. Saturdays 12-7. Sundays 11am - 4pm. Check our calendar before coming. There are days we may not have an open studio because we have a private event. The cost is $28+tax for the standard size 16″ x 20″ paintings. There are always at least 35 different choices. We now have ceramics for our walk in the open studio as well. Prices vary, but run anywhere from $12 to $50. No reservation is necessary, but it is highly recommended that you book ahead on weekend days, since those get pretty busy. Those with a reservation get priority on the weekends. Also, let us know what time you'd like to arrive.

Q: What do I do if I am late?

We can't stress this enough! Please try to be on time. The doors will open 30 minutes prior to scheduled class time. We suggest that you arrive about 15-20 minutes before class begins to allow for "settling in" time (opening wine, using the rest room, mingling with friends). There is no such thing as "fashionably late" here at Paint Monkey. We can usually catch you up if you are just a few minutes late. Important note: If you are more than 40 minutes late, you will be considered a "no show." There is no refund for a "no show" and it will be too late for you to begin painting. Try to be on time!

Q: What is your bad weather policy?

If we are there and the class is still being held – and you can’t make it, because of bad weather – we will give you a class credit that will be good for 30 days only – No exceptions. If we have to cancel the class – we will offer you a choice of a full refund or a class credit.

Q: What methods of payment do you accept ?

Our online system allows us to accept Visa, Master Card, American Express and Discover.

Q: Is it safe to use my credit card on-line?

Online payment via credit card is secure, fast, easy and will guarantee that your registration is processed immediately. We are using a certtiifcate : 128-bit SSL encryption.

Q: How can I cancel/change a class if I am within your cancellation policy?

1) Go to the RezClick page for the Waterfront studio, sign into your on-line account and click on “My Classes” 2) Find the class you are canceling and click “Change” 3) Click on the box in front of the registered name. 4) Click on the appropriated choice When you finish, your account will show an account credit. Refunds are given only as class credit. For your next purchase, the shopping cart will NOT automatically apply the credit and deduct the cost of your purchase from your account credit before it charges your credit card. YOU MUST CLICK ON THE BUTTON IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PAGE “APPLY ACCOUNT CREDIT”. If you contact us to cancel prior the 3 day cancellation period, you will be given a refund. If you cancel less than 72 hours prior to class, you can receive a class credit which must be used within 30 days.

Q: How did you come up with the name “Paint Monkey?”

Well, the idea is that you are copying a painting…so we thought “Monkey See, Monkey Do.” Add paint to that and you have yourself a Paint Monkey.

Q: Can we bring small children to the evening classes?

If it's a class that says "all ages" then it's fine. Otherwise, our policy is no children under 15 in the evening classes. And those 15-21 should be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
