New Locations at The Waterfront and McCandless Crossing

In the fall of 2016, we opened 2 new studios – at The Waterfront in Homestead across from P.F. Chang’s and the other at the McCandless Crossing shopping center, right next door to First Watch.  Both of these studios have retail hours from 11am till 9pm most days and we do walk ins! We have a small variety of pre-sketched canvases that you can choose from for just $25. Goodbye Dear Lola

As many of you know, we have a very special class called “Paint Your Pet” that we hold every other week.  In this class, we are lucky enough to help folks capture their beloved pets on canvas.  Occasionally we get people who are painting pets who have passed, and it can be quite emotional. As I write this post, it’s my turn to be emotional.  My beloved dog, Lola, who is the little daschund whose portrait you see in our studio and on our website passed unexpectedly this past New Years Eve Day.  She had just turned 10 years old the day before.  She had a heart murmur and her heart just gave out. Lola lived her life in Brooklyn, New York.  She loved long walks in Prospect Park, cheese, playing fetch and being with people.  Lola loved people…and...

Maya & Abby Party It Up!

Today, we hosted Maya and Abby’s birthday party.  They both turned 10 years old.  What a great bunch of girls!  They decided to paint our “Seasons” painting.  I am always surprised by how uninhibited kids are when they paint.  We’ve had adults that have done this same painting, and it takes them the full 2 hours and then some.  After a super yummy slice of Pesaro’s pizza, they began to create their masterpieces.  It was amazing to see how quickly they finished and how creative they were.  They finished up with some cupcakes, danced a little to Taylor Swift and called it a day.                                              ...
